The Viritech Apricale, the new hydrogen hypercar designed by Pininfarina has been unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
It will be built in 25 units with production scheduled for 2024. This is very a special car with a total weight of only 1,000 kg: exceptionally low for a car equipped with a Fuel Cell powertrain. It was developed in collaboration withAMTE Power and Tri-Volt.
It features also small batteries to store the energy recovered during braking. But the storage that makes the real difference is the hydrogen on, stowed in 700 bar pressure tanks weighing 100 kg for every 5 kg of fuel.
