Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden
Introduce
Carlo XVI Gustaf of Sweden (Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus; born April 30, 1946, in Solna) is the current King of Sweden.
He became king upon the death of his paternal grandfather on September 15, 1973. He is the son of Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden and Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and the grandson of Gustaf VI Adolf. His personal motto is “För Sverige, i tiden” (For Sweden, with the times).
