Introduce
Bonifazio Incisa di Camerana, scion of a distinguished Piedmontese family with military heritage, chose a military path following the war. He trained at the Military Academy of Modena and the Weapons School in Turin. His career spanned commands in artillery, including leadership roles in Vercelli and Modena, and staff positions in the Italian Army. Notably, he served as Chief of Staff from 1993 to 1997, overseeing deployments like Italfor Ibis in Somalia. Post-retirement, he led Agalpe and served as mayor of Saluggia. He received the Army’s Gold Cross of Merit in 1998.
