The ASI Bertone Collection consists of 79 pieces, including vehicles, chassis, and models crafted by the famous Bertone coachbuilding company. This collection showcases historically significant vehicles such as the Lamborghini Miura, Espada, and Countach, a Lancia Stratos road version, an Alfa Romeo Giulia SS, a Giulia Sprint, a Montreal, and numerous Bertone prototypes.
In 2015, the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI) acquired this prestigious collection, which had been declared of cultural interest by the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism. The minister mandated that the entire collection be sold as a whole through an online auction. Additionally, ASI is restricted from breaking up the collection by selling individual pieces and is prohibited from transferring it abroad.
The acquisition of the Bertone Collection signaled a new era for ASI, reinforcing its central role in preserving automotive history and the restoration and conservation of vintage vehicles. This acquisition enables enthusiasts to continue appreciating a collection that is a vital part of Italy’s motoring cultural heritage.
Currently, the ASI Bertone Collection is exhibited at the Parco e Museo del Volo di Volandia (Volandia Flight Park and Museum) in Somma Lombardo, near Milan-Malpensa Airport.
