Vehicle Overview
The Ares Panther, also known as the Panther ProgettoUno, is the inaugural creation from ARES DESIGN’s ‘Legends Reborn’ service. This project is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic 1970s De Tomaso Pantera, blending traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing technologies. The Panther is meticulously constructed from carbon fibre, ensuring a lightweight yet robust build. The transformation begins with Lamborghini Huracan as the donor car, equipped with a 5204cc naturally aspirated V10 engine that produces an impressive 650 hp and 600 Nm of torque. This powerful engine forms the heart of the Ares Panther, providing exceptional performance that pays homage to its illustrious predecessor. Despite the significant differences in width, the original Pantera and the modern donor car share broadly similar dimensions, with the donor car’s wheelbase being only 12 centimeters longer than the original. This makes the donor car an ideal candidate for the transformation into the Panther ProgettoUno, maintaining the classic proportions while enhancing performance and handling. The Ares Panther ProgettoUno is not just a nod to the past but a leap into the future, showcasing the best of both eras. It was recognized for its excellence by being named the carrozzieri-italiani.com Car of the Year in 2019, a testament to its remarkable design and engineering.
