Vehicle Overview
The RUF RK Coupé represents a masterful collaboration between STUDIOTORINO and Ruf Automobile, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, engineering precision, and artistic design. This bespoke vehicle epitomizes the philosophy of “fine sports cars,” blending traditional coachbuilding techniques with modern performance capabilities. Like its predecessor, the RK Spyder, the RK Coupé is produced in limited numbers, tailored to the unique preferences of each client. The development of the RK Coupé began with a single prototype, the Prototipo C 1/1. In September 2005, Aldo Brovarone, a respected designer, conceptualized the vehicle’s distinct silhouette with the assistance of Gustavo Alkmim Uemura, a promising young designer from Brazil. Their attention to detail is evident in standout features like the aluminum fuel cap, dual exhaust outlets, and the striking paintwork. The exterior features a rich red finish enhanced with inking techniques, accented by twin stripes on the rear fenders. The interior complements this with dual-tone green leather and anthracite gray details, offering a blend of sportiness and elegance. Underneath its striking bodywork, the RK Coupé is powered by a 3.8-liter RUF Kompressor engine. This supercharged powerplant delivers 440 bhp and 470 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 304 km/h. The advanced intake, modified injectors, and bespoke exhaust system are testaments to Ruf’s engineering prowess. STUDIOTORINO’s expertise shines in the vehicle’s bodywork and finishes. Aluminum, steel, and carbon fiber components have been custom-crafted, with only select elements of the original Porsche retained. The car’s unique rear hatch, inspired by classics like the Porsche 904 and Dino GT 246, exemplifies the blend of heritage and innovation. Each detail, from the handcrafted enamel STUDIOTORINO emblems to the Poltrona Frau leather interior, exudes luxury and refinement. The RK Coupé has been widely recognized for its design and engineering excellence, winning accolades such as “The Most Beautiful Car in the World” in 2007. Limited to just two units, delivered to Italy and Germany, the RK Coupé remains a symbol of exclusivity and passion for bespoke automotive artistry.
