The Range Rover Evoque Castagna showcases an innovative digital wood processing technique patented by Carrozzeria Castagna Milano, leading to the development of the WoodFabric finish. This customized version of the hybrid Range Rover Evoque was presented online following the cancellation of the Salone del Mobile. WoodFabric, a unique and malleable material that mimics the properties of fabric, encapsulates the atelier’s philosophy of “Wood outside, wood inside.” Traditionally used to decorate both the interiors and exteriors of vehicles, WoodFabric stands out for its resistance to temperature changes, humidity, and UV rays. This ensures the material retains its qualities in various conditions. WoodFabric’s malleability allows it to cover dashboards, seats, and panels without needing molds, maintaining the natural grain and texture of wood while offering the flexibility of printed fabric. The customized Evoque by Carrozzeria Castagna features external oak moldings that follow the lines of the rear LED lights. The interior presents a striking new look with grey-blue leather matching the exterior’s dominant hue. Complementing this are Alcantara upholstery in coffee and metallic pearl grey, alongside natural coffee-colored WoodFabric inserts on the seatbacks and dashboard. This fusion of traditional craftsmanship with modern technology results in a vehicle that not only stands out visually but also highlights the innovative use of materials, blending luxury, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
