The Pininfarina BMC 1800, a concept car that preceded the Citroen CX by seven years, stands as a tantalizing “what if” in automotive history. In 1968, to prove that the formula of the BMC 1800 was also valid for smaller cars, Paolo Martin designed a similar prototype on the chassis of the small BLMC 1100 for the Turin Motor Show.
