The Lancia Aurelia Fuoriserie
The Lancia Aurelia chassis history From the moment the Lancia Aurelia was unveiled to the public at the Turin Motor Show in April 1950,…
At the 1955 Paris Motor Show, Pininfarina presented the first Florida prototype, whose innovative style, made up of straight lines and sharp edges, will influence car design for a decade.
The Lancia Florida Paris car was a two-door sedan, based on the Aurelia chassis, but an even more elegant version, equipped with four doors, was exhibited by Pininfarina at the Turin and Geneva motor shows, which will evolve into the Lancia Flaminia, the heir to the Aurelia. The four-door Florida, built in four units, is particular for the absence of the central pillar, a solution that requires special reinforcements to the body, and for the doors with closet opening. This specimen is the only left-hand drive and was sold in the United States in 1956, and is now part of the Lopresto collection.
