The Lamborghini 5-95 Spyder by Zagato.
The Lamborghini 5-95 Spyder by Zagato is a rare and exclusive automotive work of art, blending Italian design excellence with high-performance engineering. Limited to just five coupe and five spider units, this special edition was crafted exclusively for private collectors, making it one of the most coveted modern Lamborghinis. This unique project was born from the long-standing partnership between Lamborghini and the legendary Milanese coachbuilder Zagato, celebrating two major anniversaries: Lamborghini’s 50th year in 2013 and Zagato’s 95th year in 2014. The collaboration resulted in a highly distinctive car that reinterprets Lamborghini’s aggressive styling with Zagato’s signature design philosophy. The 5-95 Spyder by Zagato is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4, one of the most successful supercars in Lamborghini’s history. While the car retains the original 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine producing 570 horsepower and an advanced all-wheel-drive system, its exterior has been completely reimagined. Designed by Norihiko Harada, Zagato’s design director, the car features a striking new body made entirely of carbon fiber, significantly reducing weight while enhancing aerodynamics. The rounded front, large air intakes, and sculpted rear create a flowing, organic look that departs from Lamborghini’s traditional sharp-edged design language. The rear features an integrated air scoop that enhances cooling, while the LED taillights and aggressive diffuser maintain Lamborghini’s signature race-inspired aesthetics. Despite its bespoke nature, the 5-95 Spyder by Zagato is fully homologated for road use, ensuring that its lucky owners can experience the thrill of its V10 engine on public roads. With only ten units ever made, five coupes and five spiders, the 5-95 Spyder remains one of the rarest Lamborghini creations, embodying the perfect fusion of Zagato’s timeless design philosophy and Lamborghini’s uncompromising performance. At least two specimens are known to be in Switzerland, while another has been spotted in Japan, highlighting the global appeal of this highly exclusive collector’s car.
