IDEAone is a saloon designed for potential manufacture, unveiled at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. It embodies the very essence of I.DE.A Institute, its professional capabilities and the emphasis on team work inherent in its working methods. Ever since it was founded in 1979, I.DE.A Institute has offered its client-partners a complete range of services covering the entire design cycle of the product: from styling, feasibility studies, and product and process engineering, through to the construction of models, the final development of the project for manufacturing and the construction of prototypes. This commitment to team work and the stress on interdisciplinary skills and creativity has paved the way for the creation of IDEAone. True to these principles, I.DE.A Institute has successfully completed a wide range of turn-key projects of vehicles which are currently being mass-produced. But, for once free from external constraints, with IDEAone it has turned its attention to the ever-topical theme of the elite Italian saloon, here conceived in the finest European tradition. An innovative concept of frame and bodywork has led to an architecture designed to ensure absolute passenger comfort.
