HK GT

The HK GT by Pininfarina: the luxury sedan with a double soul.

Vehicle Overview

The HK GT, designed by Pininfarina, was unveiled a year after the world debut of the H600 luxury sedan at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. This was followed by the presentation of the K550 five-seater SUV and the K750 seven-seater SUV at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show. The HK GT is the fourth concept car developed in collaboration with Hybrid Kinetic Group, an emerging hi-tech brand based in Hong Kong. With the HK GT, Pininfarina interprets a classic architecture of the Italian automotive school, the Gran Turismo, further refining the identity and formal language of the Hybrid Kinetic brand. The HK GT’s exterior style can be defined by three words: sensuality, power, and elegance. In the best tradition of Italian bodywork, the HK GT concept car features full and voluptuous volumes with surfaces that transition softly and are finely structured by subtle creases. The car, with its captivating proportions, has a 2+2 configuration that is fully revealed by the opening of the gull-wing doors. The HK GT is characterized by a long, sculpted bonnet and a slightly arched character line that gently descends towards the rear, giving the impression that the roof rests on the car body, bringing it closer to the rear wheel as seen in the great Gran Turismo cars of the past. This design trend is partially highlighted by a thin chrome molding that flows elegantly from the front to the contour of the side glass surfaces, a stylistic feature of the Hybrid Kinetic brand that was already hinted at in the 2017 creations. The HK GT continues to showcase Pininfarina’s ability to blend classic Italian automotive design with modern technological innovation, embodying the essence of a true Gran Turismo with its harmonious blend of sensuality, power, and elegance.
