Hillman Zimp

The 1963 Hillman Zimp was built in three prototypes from a design by chief Zagato stylist Ercole Spada. The car paired British technology and Italian styling, with an aluminum re-body of the Hillman Imp performed by Zagato.

Vehicle Overview

Developed by Zagato in just nine months and introduced at the 1964 Earls Court Motor with a projected retail price of £1,200, the Zimp fell victim to the Rootes Group’s financial problems and never made it to production.
