This Hillman Hunter Paykan one-off built and designed in 1974 by Giovanni Michelotti for a wealthy customer from Iran.
This Hillman Hunter Paykan is based on the Paykan Hillman Hunter mounted in Samarkand in Iran, Giovanni Michelotti designed and built a running prototype coupe for an almost unexpected Iranian customer who drove the car from Iran to Italy. The car featured shock-resistant polyurethane bumpers, gull-wing opening doors, rear door with visible glass, metallic silver paint and other futuristic technical solutions for the mid-1970s. In a few months the customer was able to collect his brand new car made during a holiday in Italy with his wife. The most obvious features are the wing doors which we have seen on other Michelotti’s models like the Lancia Mizar.
