The Fiat 518 Ardita Bertone Panoramica.
The Fiat 518 Ardita Bertone: Designed by Mario Revelli di Beaumont for Bertone, the Fiat 518 Ardita Berlina Panoramica was characterized by the sunroof, the portion of transparent roof above the windshield to improve the driver’s visibility and the brightness of the passenger compartment, the spare wheels placed horizontally, acting as bumpers. This Fiat 518 Ardita was a six seat limousine, in which an evolving state in the process of stylistic change appeared evident; the wings had taken on rounded lines, the wind-screen was slightly inclined, the radiator was given a grill with an aesthetic function. The Fiat 518 had a four-cylinder, 1944 cc engine (bore and stroke 82×92 mm) that put out 45 hp at 3600 rpm. Suspension was still rigid axle on the four wheels and brakes were hydraulically operated, a feature that had been seen for the first time on the 1931 Fiat 515. The Ardita was produced in both short and long wheelbase forms of 2700 mm and 3000 mm, and weighed from 1185 to 1275 kg, depending on the type of body.
