The Fiat 1900 Granluce Boneschi one-off.
The Fiat 1900 Granluce Boneschi is an extraordinary one-off automobile that exemplifies bespoke Italian craftsmanship from the renowned Carrozzeria Boneschi in Milan. Built in 1954 on the Fiat 1900B chassis, specifically with chassis number 001422, this unique vehicle was likely commissioned by the Milanese antique dealer Capelli. Its elegant design and luxurious features embody the spirit of mid-20th-century Italian automotive artistry. Originally registered in 1954, the Granluce served its purpose well before being placed in storage in 1975. Unfortunately, it was subsequently abandoned for nearly 40 years, exposing it to the elements. Despite these harsh conditions, the car retains its original registration document, keys, and rear license plate, marking it as a fascinating piece of automotive history. While it was reported to be intact and operational when moved, the Granluce shows signs of deterioration from its prolonged exposure. It is missing two wheel covers and the ring surrounding one of the headlights. The engine remains complete, though it is uncertain whether it is functional at this time. This rare Fiat 1900 Granluce Boneschi not only showcases the artistry of its era but also carries a rich story of resilience and unique provenance, making it a prized find for collectors and automotive enthusiasts alike.
