The Fiat 124 Mole is a unique creation crafted by Mole Automobiles for collector Andrea Levy. This one-off car, designed by Umberto Palermo’s Up Design, demonstrates how a high-production sports car can be transformed into a true custom-built masterpiece. The Fiat 124 Mole made its debut at an exclusive event held at the Rivoli showroom of the Piedmontese company and became one of the highlights of the Parco Valentino Auto Show in 2017. The car’s design is a blend of meticulous craftsmanship and refined aesthetics, aimed at creating an original and characterful outcome. The exterior of the Fiat 124 Mole has been entirely reshaped to stand out from its standard version. Among the most striking features is the longitudinal cut on the bonnet, giving the car a distinct and dynamic presence. The new front design features a single grille, while the rear section is adorned with flowing, dynamic lines that enhance the car’s sporty appeal. Inside the cabin, the Fiat 124 Mole maintains the essence of the original while introducing an air of sophistication. The interiors have been revamped with an artisanal touch, including hand-stitched white leather and olive wood inserts. These elegant materials are tastefully integrated throughout the cockpit, highlighting the steering wheel, the crowns of the air vents, the horizontal dashboard strip, and the central console. This meticulous attention to detail elevates the interior ambiance, merging comfort and luxury. The unveiling of the 124 Mole was also an opportunity for Umberto Palermo to announce the transformation of Up Design into a S.p.A. by the end of July. This strategic shift aims to position the company more prominently in the tailor-made automotive market, offering enhanced expertise and craftsmanship. With the Fiat 124 Mole, Palermo not only demonstrated his design prowess but also laid the groundwork for Up Design’s evolution into a more specialized and professional entity.
