The Touring Veloce12, based on the iconic Ferrari 550, is a remarkable blend of mid-20th-century Italian coachbuilding elegance and cutting-edge design innovation. A creation of Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the Veloce12 captures the essence of the golden age of design while harnessing the power and performance of its Ferrari heritage. Based on the Ferrari 550 Maranello, the Veloce12’s body is crafted from lightweight carbon fiber, embodying modern engineering at its finest. Every connection between the chassis and bodywork is optimized using CAD technology to ensure flawless precision and eliminate vibrations. Essential load-bearing components undergo FEM modal analysis, and advanced CFD studies fine-tune the car’s aerodynamics to maximize efficiency and performance. At the heart of the Veloce12 lies a naturally aspirated 5.5L F133 V12 engine from the Ferrari 550, but with significant upgrades. This powerhouse now delivers 503hp, an increase of 25hp over the donor car, along with 419 lb-ft of torque. With an enhanced cooling system by PWR and a partnership with Supersprint Exhausts, the V12 provides a symphonic sound and exhilarating performance. The Veloce12 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 320 km/h. The Veloce12 also features a state-of-the-art Brembo braking system, six-pot calipers on 380mm front discs, and four-pot calipers on 380mm rear discs, ensuring exceptional stopping power. Its bespoke wheels, designed by Touring Superleggera, reduce unsprung mass, enhancing agility. The adjustable suspension system, developed in collaboration with TracTive, allows dynamic control, offering the perfect balance between comfort and performance. The chassis of the Veloce12, inherited from the Ferrari 550, has been reinforced to increase torsional stiffness, taking inspiration from improvements seen in Ferrari’s 599 and F12 models. Inside, the cabin is a luxurious homage to Italian craftsmanship, with the finest materials, handcrafted leather, and meticulous detailing.
