Ferrari acquired the rights to this innovative technology to produce a limited series of 559 Superamerica units. The name “Superamerica” carries significant heritage within Ferrari’s history, recalling the exclusive 410 and 400 Superamerica models of the 1950s and 1960s, which were designed for an elite clientele, including celebrities and business magnates. Today, the 559 examples of the 575 Superamerica are highly sought after by collectors worldwide, akin to the desirability of the 550 Barchetta. With very few Superamericas available for sale, collectors tend to hold onto these vehicles, as their market value continues to climb.
