The Ferrari 250 GT Speciale Boano Chassis #0531GT one-off.

Vehicle Overview

The Ferrari 250 GT Speciale Boano Chassis #0531GT, a distinctive example from the mid-1950s, was built as a 250 GT Boano Low Roof Coupe Speciale by Carrozzeria Boano. This model stands out due to its unique chromed grille with the horse in a circle, which differentiates it from other Ferraris of the era. The car was originally owned by Dr. Fortunato Gosce of Milan, Italy, in 1956, with the registration number “MI 339101.” After a few years of ownership, it was sold to Dino Fabbri of Milan in 1960. Later that year, in October, the car was transferred to Horten Italiana Srl., a Milan-based company. In March 1962, the car found its way to Wolfgang Seidel in Düsseldorf, Germany. It was then listed for sale by Autosport Wolfgang Seidel GmbH, where it was described as a “Ferrari Superamerica, Kaross. Boano.” At the time, the car had only 15,000 kilometers on the clock and was presented in excellent condition. The car was finished in Tiger’s Eye with a silver-gray roof and black interior. The offer mentioned that it had been factory-revised and was priced well below the new car cost. On December 3, 1962, the car was registered in Modena with the number “MO 74628.” Following the registration, the car was sold to Hans-Joachim Schramm of Oberursel, Germany. Schramm would go on to keep the Ferrari in his collection, further adding to the car’s notable provenance. The Ferrari 250 GT Boano #0531GT remains an important model in Ferrari’s history, showcasing the brand’s commitment to luxury and performance, along with its exclusivity and appeal to collectors.
