Dodge Firearrow I

The Dodge Firearrow concept cars first appeared as a two-seat mockup that rode atop a 1954 Dodge chassis.

Vehicle Overview

The Dodge Firearrow I: Bright red and circumscribed by a dramatic gray molding that culminated up front in a handsome, blade-like bumper split by a single pod, the Dodge Firearrow I carried dual headlamps and full wheel covers. Exposed exhaust pipes, two per side, rode low on the car’s flanks. Inside the concept car built by Ghia Torino, the seats were well-padded yellow leather adorned with narrow maroon piping. A wood-rimmed steering wheel brought an additional touch of Italian style. The concept car was exhibited at the 1953 Turin Motor Show and the 1953 New York Auto Show in which Eugene Casaroll fell in love with the concept and later gave birth to the Dual-Ghia Convertible.
