The Cisitalia 303 DF is often affectionately referred to as a “budget-friendly” version of the iconic Cisitalia 202. While it shares a striking aesthetic resemblance to its legendary “cousin” – the car that earned a place of honor at the MoMA in New York for its revolutionary design – the 303 DF was more conventional beneath the surface. Produced between 1951 and 1953, this rare Turin sports car is now highly sought after, with only about 30 examples ever made, offered as both coupés and cabriolets. The bodywork of the Cisitalia 303 DF was crafted by Stabilimenti Farina, borrowing heavily from the celebrated design language of the Berlinetta unveiled four years earlier. Key differences included a slightly higher beltline, the omission of vertical strips in the grille, and solid wheels replacing the earlier spoked rims.
