Cisitalia 303 DF Coupé Farina

The Cisitalia 303 DF Coupé by Stabilimenti Farina.

Vehicle Overview

The Cisitalia 303 DF is considered a cheap 202: aesthetically it resembled the mythical “cousin” exhibited at the MoMA in New York but under the skin it was much more traditional. Today the prices of this extremely rare Turin sports car – produced from 1951 to 1953 in about 30 units as coupé and cabriolet versions. The bodywork – made by Stabilimenti Farina – is very similar to that of the legendary Berlinetta unveiled four years earlier (higher beltline, grille without vertical strips and spoked wheels replaced by solid rims) while the mechanics have many more elements in common with the Fiat 1100 E. Designed by Savonuzzi, the Cisitalia 303 DF was unveiled at the 1952 Turin Auto Salon.
