GFG Style Unveils the Exclusive Peralta S: A Futuristic one-off by Giugiaro

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the world witnessed the unveiling of the Peralta S, a groundbreaking one-off sports car crafted by GFG Style, at the prestigious Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico. This unique creation, commissioned by renowned Mexican car collector Carlos Peralta and his sons Juan Carlos and Nicolas, marks GFG Style’s first-ever one-off vehicle.

Inspired by the iconic 1970s concept car designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Peralta S is the brainchild of Fabrizio Giugiaro, who developed it at GFG Style’s advanced styling center. This hand-built masterpiece combines futuristic vision with a tribute to automotive history, particularly drawing inspiration from the legendary Maserati Boomerang prototype from 1971.

A Monolithic Vision

The Peralta S is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car, entirely handcrafted from mirror-polished aluminum. What sets it apart visually is the seamless integration of the glazed surfaces and the aluminum body, creating a striking monolithic effect. The car’s silhouette is defined by a single, unbroken line running from nose to roof to tail, accentuated by the choice to leave the polished aluminum exposed. The teardrop-shaped design narrows elegantly at the rear, while the front remains clean and minimalist, hiding the headlights within the body.

One of the most innovative features of the Peralta S is the “dome” opening mechanism, which lifts in a single, spectacular movement. This futuristic approach to access replaces traditional doors, while the side windows can be independently opened through a gull-wing motion. This unique opening system, combined with the integrated spoiler and hidden taillights that create a captivating “shadow light” effect when illuminated, enhances the car’s futuristic and avant-garde appeal.

A Tribute to Giorgetto Giugiaro

Fabrizio Giugiaro describes the Peralta S as a car with a “1970s attitude”, deliberately distancing it from the design trends of modern cars. He emphasizes that the car is more than just a modern creation; it is a homage to his father, Giorgetto Giugiaro, and a reinterpretation of the legendary Boomerang’s wedge-shaped silhouette.

“The Peralta S has nothing to do with today’s cars,” says Fabrizio. “I wanted to embellish it with references to shapes from a past that made history. It’s also a tribute to my father, reinterpreting the Boomerang’s volumes in a modern way.”

A Bold Blend of Form and Function

Aside from its iconic appearance, the Peralta S features a highly functional design. The body is composed of three separate parts: the hood, the central mirrored glass section, and the rear. The chassis and mechanical components are derived from the Maserati MC20, maintaining the high-performance engineering of the Italian supercar. This collaboration was made possible through the technical expertise of MAT – Manifattura Automobili Torino.

The interior design pays homage to the spirit of the 1970s, featuring materials such as leather with a metallic chrome effect. The ergonomic seats, integrated steering wheel controls, and the innovatively designed center console reflect the forward-thinking yet nostalgic philosophy behind the car.

A Dream Car with Dual Personalities

One of the most intriguing aspects of the Peralta S is its dual nature: when the car is off and the dome closed, it appears as a single, sculptural monolith. Once activated, it transforms: the spoiler rises, and the upper and lower vents open, optimizing ventilation and showcasing its dynamic spirit.

With the front spoiler, rear diffuser, and side sills crafted from exposed carbon fiber, the car maintains a balance between lightweight performance and aesthetic refinement.

A New Icon Is Born

The Peralta S stands as a testament to GFG Style’s commitment to innovation, blending the visionary legacy of Giorgetto Giugiaro with Fabrizio Giugiaro’s contemporary creative touch. Revealed in the refined atmosphere of the Pastejé Automotive Invitational, the Peralta S is not just a tribute to the past but a bold statement for the future of automotive design.

With its avant-garde design and homage to the past, the Peralta S reaffirms GFG Style’s position at the forefront of bespoke automotive craftsmanship. This one-of-a-kind sports car will undoubtedly remain a symbol of artistic and technical excellence for years to come.
