Luca Borgogno

Luca Borgogno, a seasoned automotive designer, graduated in Transportation Design in 1998. He began his career working in small design studios, where he honed his skills and deepened his passion for the automotive world. However, in 2005, he realized his dream of joining the renowned design house Pininfarina. At Pininfarina, he initially worked as a designer, showcasing his talent for creating visually stunning and functional vehicles. His role quickly evolved, and he took on the responsibility of project manager, further solidifying his expertise in overseeing the development of high-end automotive designs.

In 2015, Borgogno’s career took another major leap when he joined Automobili Lamborghini, where he contributed to the brand’s legacy of performance and luxury. His experience at Lamborghini was instrumental in refining his design capabilities, particularly in terms of engineering-driven aesthetics and the intricacies of designing cutting-edge performance vehicles.

In 2016, Borgogno was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the design efforts at Automobili Pininfarina. His leadership played a key role in shaping the brand’s vision and the development of its flagship projects, including the Pininfarina Ferrari Sergio concept car. This project stood out as an epitome of elegance and innovation, combining classic Ferrari design elements with futuristic styling. Borgogno also spearheaded the creation of the NewStrato’s and the electric hypercar Automobili Pininfarina Battista, a groundbreaking vehicle that emphasized sustainability, performance, and luxury.

Since 2022, Borgogno has taken on an exciting new challenge as the head of the automotive team at Huawei’s Milan Aesthetic Research Center. In this role, he is now leading a new wave of innovation, integrating cutting-edge technology with aesthetic design, bridging the gap between automotive design and advanced digital technologies.
