Goran Popović

Goran Popović is an industrial designer from Aleksinac, Serbia, whose career has spanned more than two decades in the field of transportation design. After completing his degree in Industrial Design at the University of Belgrade, Goran embarked on a career that would see him contribute significantly to some of the most iconic automotive and transportation projects of his time.

He began his professional journey in 1993 at Pininfarina, where he worked for 18 years, ultimately rising to the role of Team Leader. During his time at Pininfarina, Goran became known for his expertise in both design and engineering, skillfully merging the two disciplines to create vehicles that were as technologically advanced as they were aesthetically striking. His work included both exterior and interior design, helping to craft some of the most celebrated automobiles and show cars of the era.

In 2011, Goran moved to Granstudio, where he currently serves as Senior Partner and Chief of Design Development. In this role, he continues to shape the future of transportation design, applying his vast experience to lead innovative projects that push the boundaries of styling, functionality, and performance. He has worked on a diverse range of projects, collaborating with prestigious clients such as Baglietto Shipyard, Pininfarina, and EME Engineering, where his expertise has been essential in delivering cutting-edge designs for both vehicles and other transportation solutions.

Popović is recognized for his ability to synthesize aesthetics and technology, ensuring that every project he leads strikes a balance between form and function. His contributions have been pivotal in designing various high-profile vehicles, such as the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Ferrari 430, and the VW commercial vehicles T4 and T5. With his passion for innovation and his deep understanding of design principles, Goran Popović has established himself as one of the foremost talents in the world of automotive design, continuing to influence and inspire the industry today.
