Fiat 500 Trasformabile Negro
This is a custom-built car built on a 1939 Fiat 500 Topolino chassis by Turin coachbuilder Carrozzeria Negro. The stylistic features are very reminiscent of the contemporary Siata Amica ’39, an unmistakable sign of the custom-built bodies of the 1940s.
Vehicle Overview
The Fiat 500 Trasformabile Negro features chromed friezes which are remarkable, of rare elegance and perfectly preserved up to the present day, the nose at the bow of the ship, the doors are cut to allow the adoption of descending glasses (patent, this of the descending glasses, adopted on the Fiat 500 and deposited by the Accossato body shop in Turin) the bumpers and related customized bolts. The wand arrows are mounted behind the doors flush with the bodywork, the rear trunk hinged along its entire length and the license plate light borrowed from the Lancia Aprilia. The dashboard is basically standard as the engine is standard, the large bellows hood is perfectly integrated with the body when open.
