Touring Superleggera unveiled the Arese RH95

The Arese RH95 is the first mid-engined car in the history of the Touring Superleggera coachbuilder: the project was created to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Italian firm and will give life to a limited series of 18 customized speciments. To be built, each car requires about six months (5000 hours) of work starting from a donor two-seater, the details of each bespoke model are agreed with the customer. Despite the uniqueness of the product, Touring Superleggera is still ready to provide a two-year warranty on all modified components and the lifetime availability of spare parts. The price, as often happens in these cases, has not been declared.

The name has a precise meaning: in addition to the number 95 which celebrates Touring’s anniversary, we find the letters “RH”, which refers to the customer’s initials, and “Arese”, the name of the town in the Milanese hinterland where the historic Touring’s headquarters is located. Although Touring has not  declared the derivation of the mechanics and chassis of its latest creature, but a few indications are enough to be able to deduce this information: the dashboard and the 670 HP V8 engine are in fact clear clues that lead to a two-seater Ferrari. The 340 km / h peak and 3 seconds to reach 100 km / h from standstill are the declared data, while an official weight has not been communicated.

The bespoked design features original and unique elements: In the front we find a Aero3 derived grille, the dorsal scoop is the car’s emblematic feature, simultaneously bold and functional, optimizing forced air circulation in the engine compartment. The alloy wheels are also expressly custom made for this project. The scissor doors integrate a glass window on the roof, while the rear bonnet, made in a single piece, integrates the air intake that powers the engine. The aerodynamics have been completely redesigned: the study of the rear part stands out in particular, with the vertical exhausts, the diffuser, the closed silver section and the LEDs of the headlights that fit into the air vents. There is no real spoiler on the tail, a solution that allows to keep the design of the car clean and essential.

The interiors are affected by the Ferrari derivation, with the dashboard positioned on the sides of the steering wheel, but the central console has been completely redesigned following the AERO cocoon concept, by inserting a large triangular element that separates the driver from the passenger. This design choice also forced the shifting of the transmission controls. As for the upholstery, the two-tone brown and beige upholstery are coordinated with the Pine Green external color and the silver and yellow finishes.
