The Alfa Romeo 2000 Abarth Coupé, also referred to as the Abarth-Alfa Romeo 2000 Coupe, is a unique concept car that was manufactured by Abarth in collaboration with Alfa Romeo and designed by Carrozzeria Ghia in the year 1954. The coupe was created by the esteemed Italian automotive designer Giovanni Savonuzzi, who based its design on the Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint. It was subsequently presented by Virgilio Conrero at the Turin and Paris Motor Shows in 1954. The engine equipped in this vehicle is a four-cylinder Alfa Romeo 1975 cc, featuring two valves per cylinder. It generates a power output of 135 hp (101 kW) at 6,600 rpm, with a compression ratio of 8.5:1. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. This enables the car to achieve a maximum speed of 200 km/h (120 mph). The car follows a conventional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and has a total weight of merely 890 kg (1,960 lb).
