Built in just two specimens, this spider is the proposal that Bertone brought to Alfa Romeo, hoping to obtain the order for the open version of the Giulietta.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Bertone was designed by Franco Scaglione, but the curved and refined shapes are too complex for a series production and so the construction of the spider wass entrusted to Pininfarina, which has brought a simpler but equally valid proposal. This specimen remains at Alfa Romeo while another similar, chassis 2, is sold to Hoffman. Clearly related to Bertone’s contemporary creations, this car stands out for its ultra-modern aerodynamic nose.
