This Panhard Dyna Coupé Allemano was the car that best represented Panhard’s sporting tradition during the first half of the 1950s. Made by Allemano bodywork on the chassis of the Dyna X, it was introduced in 1952.

The Panhard Dyna Coupé Allemano: One of the competitions in which the Dyna 750 Allemano was able to assert itself in a superb way was the Mille Miglia, where it won very valid placings against much more powerful and noble cars. The 750 Coupé Allemano was a small car with a sleek coupé bodywork, one of the best creations of the Turin coachbuilder, perfectly balanced, low, sleek and aerodynamic. The front was characterized by the central curvature of the bonnet which housed the third central headlight. Made of aluminum to contain the weight of the car, the Panhard Dyna Coupé Allemano was also equipped with side windows in Plexiglas, a solution that saved further weight. In the end, the final empty weight was only 550 kg. The engine is an air-cooled 745 cm³ horizontal boxer twin. This engine was slightly revised and reached a maximum power of 40 HP at 5000 rpm, the same power delivered by the 845 cm³ unit mounted on the Dyna X and Z. The distribution was a central camshaft, with valves in head. The traction was front and the gearbox was manual with 4 gears. The peculiarities of this engine lie in the fact that it adopts some specific solutions for use in competitions, such as the central shaft that turns on special bearings or the oversized valves with return through torsion bars. The engine of the Panhard Dyna Coupé Allemano was characterized by a considerable drive torque, which at the time allowed it an excellent starting point in recovery and therefore also the possibility of affirming itself in numerous competitions. As for the suspensions, they too were subject to very particular revisions, such as the rear axle with V-axle. Road holding was therefore impeccable for a car of the time, albeit a sporty one. The maximum speed was 135 km / h, excellent for a 1952 car around 750 cm³. Suffice it to say that in normal car production, a similar speed tip was the prerogative of cars with double or almost double displacement. In any case, the Panhard Dyna Coupé Allemano was a toy for very few. The use of very particular technical solutions made the costs high and at Panhard they knew from the beginning that it would be a very exclusive object. It was in fact produced in just 6 copies, all destined for competitions.
