The Fiat 600 Francis Lombardi.
Francis Lombardi was perhaps the coachbuilder who most extensively offered customized versions of the Fiat 600. In addition to flagship models like the Spring, Lucciola, and Maggiolina, Francis Lombardi also provided two “standard” versions of his accessorized Fiat 600.
MODELLO “E”
Price: 700,000 Lire (approximately 26,000 Euros)
The MODELLO “E” featured standard Fiat lower body paint with a customizable lunalcrome roof. It included a front grille with a central fog light, side moldings with turn signals, chrome trim separating the two-tone paint, and chrome rain gutters. The engine hood had a lock and support rod, and there were chrome visors on the headlights, shiny profiles on the windows, chrome hood hinges, and a chrome exhaust tip. The interior was enriched with washable two-tone seat covers and a luggage rack rail. Optional whitewall tires were available upon request. An additional “Trasformabile” version with a sunroof was offered for an extra 45,000 Lire.
MODELLO “V”
Price: 710,000 Lire (approximately 26,600 Euros)
The MODELLO “V” offered a customizable two-tone lunalcrome paint job. It featured a chrome front grille and chrome accents on the side moldings, rain gutters, and front paint separation. The engine hood had a support rod, and there were rectangular front turn signals. The interior included washable faux leather seat covers and a luggage rack rail. Optional whitewall tires were also available.

The MODELLO “E” and MODELLO “V” offered enhanced aesthetics and features, making them attractive options for discerning buyers.
The Fiat 600 was undoubtedly the car that accompanied Italy through the economic boom. When it was presented it was very popular thanks to its modern lines, the brilliant engine and a cockpit large enough to fit the whole family. The demand for the 600 was so high that Fiat was unable to meet the waiting times, so that many relied on the coachbuilders in order to get its small family car sooner, even at the cost of a higher price.
